As part of the continued development of the LCL product in ASPA region, a new system was launched on June 1st, 2002 to handle the LCL exports from South Asia (Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh) to Europe

The purpose of the new system is to provide a comprehensive in house LCL system connecting the major Origin Terminals in South Asia with the major Destination terminals in Europe allowing for a service that is marketable in terms of coverage, transit time, reliability and price.

Colombo will function as the 6th Multi National Gateway (MNGW) in the world through the DHL Danzas system.
